After decades of anticipation, He-Man: Masters of Eternia bursts onto the big screen as a sweeping, action-packed fantasy epic that delivers both nostalgic thrills and fresh emotional depth. Jacob Elordi steps into the role of Prince Adam, a young royal who discovers his destiny as He-Man, protector of Eternia, when the evil Skeletor (Oscar Isaac) sets out to claim the fabled Power Sword and plunge the realm into darkness.
When the mystical Castle Grayskull falls under siege, Adam must join forces with the fierce warrior Teela (Ana de Armas), the cunning Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and the mischievous mage Orko (voiced by Taika Waititi) to embark on a quest across the Crystal Deserts, the floating city of Avion, and the serpent-infested halls of Snake Mountain. Along the way, friendships are forged, betrayals revealed, and the line between heroism and sacrifice tested.
Director Travis Knight delivers jaw-dropping visuals — massive battle sequences drenched in color and detail, creature designs that feel ripped from a living myth, and intimate moments that ground the spectacle in heart. Elordi brings a charismatic vulnerability to He-Man, while Isaac’s Skeletor steals scenes with a deliciously menacing performance.
Hans Zimmer’s soaring score ties it all together, swelling during He-Man’s iconic transformation until the audience can’t help but feel the weight of “I have the power!”
