Story
Shelter (2026) is a tense psychological thriller set in a near-future world where an unexplained global catastrophe has forced the last survivors of humanity to live underground. In a remote, heavily guarded bunker hidden deep beneath the mountains, a small group of survivors struggles to rebuild a fragile sense of order while the world above remains silent and seemingly uninhabitable.
Dr. Elena Carter (Jessica Chastain), a former disaster psychologist, is assigned to monitor the mental health of the bunker’s residents as fear, isolation, and uncertainty begin to tear the community apart. Among the survivors is Marcus Hale (Mahershala Ali), a quiet former engineer who helped design parts of the underground facility and who seems to know more about the shelter’s true purpose than he admits.
When a young boy (Jacob Tremblay) begins describing vivid dreams about a world outside the bunker that may still be alive, Elena starts questioning the official story behind the catastrophe. As strange malfunctions occur and secret areas of the facility are uncovered, Elena and Marcus realize the bunker may not be protecting them from the outside world—it may be hiding something far more disturbing.

With paranoia spreading and trust breaking down among the survivors, the truth behind the shelter’s creation slowly emerges. And the deeper they dig, the more terrifying the reality becomes.
