In Tarzan (2025), Dwayne Johnson takes on the iconic role of Tarzan, reimagining the legendary character in a new take on the classic jungle tale. This new adaptation seeks to add a modern twist while retaining the essence of Edgar Rice Burroughs’ original tales. Alongside Johnson, Megan Fox plays Jane Porter, who gives a fearless and intelligent portrayal of the beloved jungle heroine. The film begins with Tarzan, raised by gorillas in a remote part of the African jungle, living in harmony with his animal family and the forest. However, his peace is shattered when a large corporation, led by a wealthy tycoon, decides to exploit the jungle’s resources.

The villain, played by an as-yet-undisclosed actor, plans to exploit the area for rare minerals, threatening the delicate ecosystem and the survival of its inhabitants. Tarzan, initially unaware of the corporation’s destructive intentions, crosses paths with Jane, a bold anthropologist sent to study the jungle’s endangered species.

As the two characters get to know each other, a relationship emerges marked by a mix of curiosity, admiration, and, eventually, love. Jane’s initial mission is to document and understand the jungle’s unique ecosystem, but she soon becomes drawn to Tarzan’s story and begins to help him in his fight to defend his home. The story delves into Jane’s struggle as she discovers the true extent of her employer’s plans and realizes that her job is inadvertently contributing to the destruction.

This moral conflict drives her to join forces with Tarzan to stop the ruthless corporation.
